SCOOBA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday falling 9-4 in game on and winning game two, 8-7.
Holmes plays Gulf Coast on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.
In game one, Cole Moudy got the start and suffered the loss. He gave up five runs on six hits with three strikeouts and four walks. Austin Russell, Will Carter and Jaden Clinton each threw in the game. Matthew Reed and John Nolan Pajak each had two hits with Pajak adding a double. Hayden Beall and Reese Smith added a double.
In game two, John Paul Buckner picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up seven runs on seven hits with 12 strikeouts and four walks. Leland Selby, Ethan Wood, Evan Scott and Beall each had two hits with Wood, Pajak and Selby adding a double and Beall added a triple. Parker Knight had a two-run homerun.
