Bulldogs split with the Coahoma Tigers

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday with the Coahoma Community College Tigers falling 11-7 and winning game two, 11-10.

Holmes ends the season on Friday at Hinds at 2/5 p.m.

In game one, Matthew Reed got the start and went six innings. He gave up six runs on eight hits with one strikeout and two walks. Austin Russell went two innings and suffered the loss. Jackson Dollar went one inning.

Parker Knight and Leland Selby each had three hits. Selby had a double and a three-run homerun while Knight added two doubles. Abbott Hankins and Hunter Barron each doubled.

In game two, Hankins went six innings and picked up the win. He gave up six runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and four walks. Dollar went one inning in relief. Carson Buckner, Knight and Barron each had two hits. Barron had a two-run homerun while Buckner added a solo shot. Knight added a triple while Reed added a double.
