Bulldogs sweep Bears to open the 2024 season
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs opened the 2024 campaign off with two wins over Bevill State Community College, 10-5 and 7-1.
Holmes is scheduled to play Blue Mountain in Blue Mountain on Monday.
In game one, Cole Moudy got the start and went four innings and gave up two runs on four hits with six strikeouts picking up the win. Will Carter and Brenden Skirtech also pitched in the game.
Matthew Reed and Hunter Azemar each had two hits with both having a double. Ethan Wood added a three-run homerun while Adam Francisco added a double.
In game two, Hunter Bethel got the start and went five innings and gave up one run on two hits with one strikeout and three walks. Holton Hartzog and Houston Wedgeworth pitched in the game.
Walker Long had a three-run homerun while Jacob Lott added a triple.
