GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday winning 3-1 over Itawamba and falling 8-2 to Pearl River.
Holmes hosts Calhoun on Saturday at 12/3 p.m.
In game one, Brenden Skirtech got the start and went seven innings. He gave up one run on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks. Hunter Azemar had a solo homerun.
In game two, Houston Wedgeworth went 1.1 innings and gave up five runs on five hits with two strikeouts. Holton Hartzog and Seth Terrell also pitched in the game. Matthew Reed had a double in the game.
