Bulldogs split with Warhawks

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games with Calhoun here yesterday falling 12-4 in game one and winning 5-4 in walk-off fashion in game two.

Holmes will play at Coahoma on Tuesday vs. Delta at 1 p.m. and vs. Coahoma at 3:30 p.m.

In game one, Aidan Bellman got the start and suffered the loss. He went 3.1 innings and gave upfive runs on four hits with two strikeouts and five walks. Will Carter, R.J. Merriman and Drew Newman also pitched in the game.

Matthew Reed led the Bulldogs with two hits including a double.

In game two, Hunter Bethel got the start and went six innings. He gave up four runs on four hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Seth Terrell pitched the seventh and had a strikeout and picked up the win.

Nicolas Schwing led the Bulldogs with two hits. Amari Conley and Jacob Lott each had a double with Conley getting the walkoff in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
