Bulldogs split with No. 7 Southeastern

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here today with the No. 7 ranked Southeastern Community College Blackhawks, falling 11-5 and winning 6-4.

Holmes will travel to Meridian on Wednesday to play Hinds and Meridian at 3/6 p.m.

In game one, Aidan Bellman got the start and went five innings. He gave up two runs on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Seth Terrell came in and suffered the loss in 2/3 of an inning. He gave up seven runs on five hits with one walk. Houston Wedgeworth went 3 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on with two walks.

Andrew Dinkelacker led the Bulldgogs with three hits while Matthew Reed, Brenden Skirtech and Walker Long each had two. Long had a double and a homerun while Skirtech, Amari Conley and Jackson Parker each doubled.

In game two, Hunter Bethel got the start and the win. He went five innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Josh Fleming got the save in two innings with two strikeouts and gave up two hits.

Skirtech led the Bulldog with three hits while Reed had two with Skirtech adding a homerun and a doubdle. Hunter Azemar added a double.
