Bulldogs split with Baton Rouge Bears Tuesday
BATON ROUGE, La. --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday falling 9-8 in game one and winning game two, 7-3.
Holmes will play Co-Lin on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.
In game one, Josh Fleming got the start and suffered the loss. Carson Moon also pitched in the game. Andrew Dinkelacker led with three hits while Nicolas Schwing, Brenden Skirtech, Amari Conley and Jacob Lott each had two. Hunter Azemar had a three-run homerun in the game.
In game two, Houston Wedgeworth got the start and picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up one run on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Will Carter and Drew Newman also pitched in the game with Newman picking up the save. Matthew Reed led with three hits including a double while Schwing and Dinkelacker each adding two hits.
