Bulldogs split two games with Northeast

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday vs. the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers winning 24-14 and falling 7-5.

Holmes will travel to Decatur on Friday for a 4/7 p.m. doubleheader.

In game one, Houston Wedgeworth picked up the win in relief. Cole Moudy got the start, and Brenden Skirtech also pitched in the game. Matthew Reed, Nicolas Schwing, Hunter Azemar and Amari Conley each had three hits. Azemar, Conley and Adam Francisco each had two-run homeruns while Schwing added a double while Reed, Skirtech and Hunter Bethel each added doubles.

In game two, Josh Fleming got the start. Will Carter and Drew Newman also pitched in the game with Carter suffering the loss. Reed led with two hits while Jacob Lott added a double and Azemar added a triple.
