Bulldogs take two from Coahoma Tigers

CLARKSDALE  ---- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up two MACCC wins yesterday over Coahoma Community College, 13-6 and 7-2.

Holmes hosts Hinds on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.

Cole Moudy got the start. Houston Wedgeworth and Brenden Skirtech also pitched in the game with Wedgeworth picking up the win. Matthew Reed, Nicolas Schwing and Hunter Azemar each had three hits with each having a double. Hunter Bethel added a double.

In game two, Josh Fleming got the start and went the distance picking up the win. He gave up two runs on seven hits with nine strikeouts. Jacob Lott and Andrew Dinkelacker each had two hits with Lott adding a homerun and a double. Skirtech also added a double.

Against East Central on Friday, the Bulldogs fell 7-4 and 22-2.

Aidan Bellman suffered the loss in game one. Seth Terrell also pitched in the game. Reed and Amari Conley each had three hits with Conley having a homerun and a double and Reed adding a double.

In game two, Bethel got the start and suffered the loss. Carson Moon, Drew Newman, Will Carter, R.J. Merriman and Jabari Farr also pitched in the game. Schwing led with two hits while Azemar added a double.
