Bulldogs take three games from Rend Lake Saturday and Sunday

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 10-3 overall with three wins here Saturday and Sunday over Rend Lake winning 7-6 and 7-3 on Saturday and 7-3 on Sunday.

Holmes returns to action on Wednesday at 11 a.m./5 p.m. against Mississippi Delta and Coahoma.

On Sunday, Ethan Trimble picked up the win. Seth Terrell, Eli Lowe and Carson Moon also pitched in the game. Nicolas Schwing led with three hits while Cade Clinton added two.

In game one Saturday, Vince Glorioso picked up the win in relief as the Bulldogs walked it off in the seventh. Aidan Bellman got the start and Braxton Demopulos also pitched in the game. Hunter Azemar led the Bulldogs with four hits including a double. Sam Roy and Clinton each had two hits.

In game two Saturday, John Paul Buckner got the start and picked up the win. Josh Fleming also pitched in the game. Amari Conley and Brenden Skirtech each had two hits while Clinton added a triple.

The Bulldogs fell on Tuesday at Pearl River. Holmes fell to Pearl River 5-3 and East Mississippi 6-3.

Against Pearl River, Holton Hartzog got the start. Seth Terrell and Carson Moon pitched in the game with Terrell taking the loss. Conley had two hits including a double.

Against East Mississippi, Skirtech got the start and took the loss. Jude Stringer and Lowe also pitched in the game. Thomas Kuhn had Holmes' only hit against East Mississippi.
