Bulldogs score 27 runs in two games in wins over Delta and Coahoma

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 12-3 on the season here Wednesday with two wins over Mississippi Delta and Coahoma. Holmes won 10-1 over Delta and 17-0 over Coahoma. Delta defeated Coahoma, 4-3, in the other game of the day.

Holmes will play Florida Post Grad on Friday in a 2/5 p.m. DH.

In game one, Holton Hartzog got the start and the win. He went six innings and gave up one run on five hits with eight strikeouts and two walks. Maddox Moreland pitched one inning of relief.

Amari Conley, Xavier Myles and Thomas Kuhn each had two hits in the game. Hunter Azemar and Nicolas Schwing each had homeruns while Conley added a triple and Brenden Skirtech and Cade Clinton each had a double.

In game two, Skirtech got the start and picked up the win. He pitched five innings and gave up two hits with eight strikeouts and one walk.

Azemar led with three hits while Conley, Sam Roy, Kuhn and Landon Wallace each had two. Conley, Azemar and Myles each homered in the game while Kuhn added two doubles while Conley, Clinton, Azemar, Moreland and Roy each doubled.
