Bio

Heather Hilderbrand Jones begins her 12th season with the Bulldogs as head cheerleading coach.
 
Jones, a 2002-2003 Holmes Community College Cheerleader and Associates Degree recipient, comes to us from Delta State University where she was a cheerleader for 2004-2005 Statesmen Football and Basketball season.
 
After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, she coached the Varsity Cheerleading Squad at Delta State while receiving her Master’s Degree in Chemistry. Jones coached at Delta State University for three seasons and placed third in 2006 and 2007 at the UCA College Cheerleading and Dance Team Nationals Small Coed Division II.
 
While coaching at Holmes, her squads have placed in cheer, sideline, and fight song at UCA College Spirit Camp for Game Day Competition and also received the Leadership Award. At UCA College Nationals, the Holmes Cheerleading Squad has placed as high as third in the Open Coed Division.
 
Jones judges many high school and college tryouts and competitions, as well as choreography on the junior high and high school level. A Yazoo County native, she attended and cheered at Tri-County Academy, Holmes Community College and Delta State University.
 
She now resides in Benton with her husband, Matt, who was the placekicker for Holmes’ 2002 JUCO State Championship Football Team, and sons, Pierce and Jon Wiley. Jones is also starting her 13th year as the Chemistry Instructor for the Goodman Campus as well as an advisor for the Holmes Plus program.
