Smith named NJCAA All-American

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College's Deion Smith of Jackson was recently named a NJCAA DI Football All-American as a wide receiver.

Smith was one of 11 players placed on the first offensive team.

The Jackson Academy graduate was the NJCAA's leading receiver during the 2023 season. He caught 48 passes for 1,063 yards with 12 touchdowns. He led the country in yardage per game (132.9), receptions (6 per game) and tied for the lead in touchdowns (12).
