GOODMAN --- The No. 13 ranked Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 2-0 on the season with a 64-56 win over Jones College here Thursday night.

Holmes led 34-29 at halftime and then outscored Jones 30-27 in the second half to hang on for the win.
Kassim Nicholson led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Winford Ross had 15 and Czar Perry had 14. Nicholson pulled in 16 rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 45.8 percent from the floor (27-of-59) and 100 percent from the free throw line (5-of-5).
