CLARKSDALE --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up a big North Division win here Monday night over the Coahoma Community College Tigers, 82-78, in overtime.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 14-6 on the season and 6-3 in the North Division. Holmes hosts Northeast Thursday at 8 p.m.
Holmes led Coahoma, 34-26, at halftime before the Tigers outscored the Bulldogs in the second half, 42-34, to end regulation tied at 68. The Bulldogs outscored the Tigers, 14-10, in overtime to pull out the win.
The Bulldogs shot 47.5 percent from the floor (28-of-59) and 74.1 percent from the free-throw line (20-of-27).
Kassim Nicholson led the Bulldogs with 19 points while Tanorrio Ransburgh had 15, Javion Jordan had 13 and Winford Ross had 11. Nicholson led the Bulldogs with 10 rebounds.
