Weatherspoon named MACCC Player of the Week

Jackson, Miss. (MACCCAthletics.com) -- The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week have been named following breakout performances in last week's games.

The selections are made by a 15-member panel. This week's awardees are:

MEN'S BASKETBALL - Brandon Weatherspoon, Holmes Community College, Soph., Canton, Miss.

Weatherspoon had a great season-opener shooting 71.4 percent from the floor and 66.6 from the three-point line against Northeast. The sophomore guard turned in an inspired performance, registering 27 points, 6 rebounds 2 assists and a steal to start conference play.
