GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 6-2 in the MACCC here tonight with a 68-50 win over the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans.
Holmes will travel to Northwest on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game.
Holmes led 38-22 at halftime and then outscored Delta, 30-28, in the second half.
Brandon Weatherspoon led the Bulldogs with 24 points including six three-pointers. Kaleb Higgins followed with 12 points. Ahmad Anthony and Asa Williams each had six rebounds.
Holmes shot 40 percent from the floor (22-of-55) and 44.8 percent from the three-point line (13-of-29).
