FULTON --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs got back on track here tonight winning at Itawamba Community College, 87-79.
With the win, the Bulldogs move to 8-3 overall in the MACCC North Division. Holmes hosts Mississippi Delta on Thursday night at 6 p.m.
Holmes led 47-31 at halftime. Itawamba outscored the Bulldogs, 48-40, in the second half, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs won by 12. Holmes led by as many as 20 points in the second half at 51-31.
Tyler Talley and Brandon Weatherspoon each led the Bulldogs in scoring with 18 points while Darrius Clark had 13 points. Kaleb Higgins led the Bulldogs with nine rebounds.
Holmes shot 56.1 percent from the floor (32-of-57), 44.4 from the three point line (8-of-18) and 68.2 percent from the free throw line (15-of-22).
