SCOOBA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 10-3 in the MACCC North Division with a 73-62 win over the East Mississippi Community College Lions here tonight.
The Bulldogs host Northeast Mississippi Community College in the MACCC North Division finale on Wednesday in Goodman at 6 p.m.
Holmes led 43-33 at halftime and then outscored East Mississippi in the second half, 30-29.
Brandon Weatherspoon led the Bulldogs with 23 points while Kaleb Higgins had 22 and Darrius Clark had 10. Higgins, Weatherspoon and Ahmad Anthony each had seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 47.9 percent from the floor (29-of-61), 38.1 percent from the three-point line (8-of-21) and 100 percent from the free throw line (7-of-7).
