GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs finished the regular season with an 11-3 record here tonight with a 63-57 win over the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers.
Holmes now awaits to here who they will play in the Region XXIII Tournament in the coming weeks. The Bulldogs are still in the hunt for the North Division title which would could name them MACCC Co-Champions. Northeast still has one game to play against Coahoma before the division is finalized.
Holmes led Northeast 34-32 at halftime and then outscored the Tigers, 29-25, in the second half to pull out the win.
Kaleb Higgins led the Bulldogs with 27 points including four three-pointers while Brandon Weatherspoon and Tyler Talley each had 12 points. Higgins and Ahmad Anthony each finished with nine rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 37.9 percent from the floor (22-of-58) and 35.3 percent from the three-point line (11-of-31).
