GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell in their season opener here tonight, 71-65, to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Saluqis.
Holmes will return to action on Monday, Nov. 8 versus East Mississippi in Goodman at 6 p.m.
Southwest Tennessee and Holmes were tied at halftime, and Southwest Tennessee outscored the Bulldogs 38-32 in the second half to pull out the win.
Tyler Talley led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Caleb Campbell followed with 15. Campbell led the Bulldogs with 11 rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 39.7 percent from the floor and 68.5 percent from the free throw line.
