SUMMIT --- A hot-shooting night here Thursday resulted in a 79-51 MACCC win for the Holmes Community College Bulldogs over the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 5-7 overall and 1-2 in the MACCC. Holmes will host Co-Lin on Monday at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs led 35-29 at halftime and then outscored the Bears, 44-22, in the second half.
Caleb Campbell led the Bulldogs in scoring with 25 points while Eric Green had 12 and Jordan Brister had 10. Green led the Bulldogs with 12 rebounds.
Holmes shot 50.8 percent from the floor (31-of-61), 53.8 percent from the three-point line (7-of-13) and 100 percent from the free throw line (10-of-10).
