SCOOBA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs took the East Mississippi Community College Lions to overtime here Thursday night but the Lions outscored the Bulldogs, 14-12, in the overtime to pull out the win.
Holmes hosts Jones College at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20 in Goodman.
East Mississippi led 37-35 at halftime. The Bulldogs outscored the Lions, 29-27, in the second half to tie the game at 64 at the end of regulation.
Caleb Campbell led the Bulldogs with 29 points. Jordan Brister followed with 17. Charlie Jones led the Bulldogs with seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 52.9 percent from the floor and 47.1 percent from the three-point line.
