The Bulldogs travel to Baton Rouge on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Holmes led 40-17 at halftime and then outscored Piney Woods, 52-25, in the second half.
Jalen Tatum and Dacory Porter each had 18 points in the game while Corbin Campbell added 10. Tatum finished with 10 rebounds.
