NEW ORLEANS --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs jumped out early here Monday night and cruised to a 66-42 win over Delgado Community College.
With the win, the Bulldogs went to 7-1 on the season. Holmes hosts Copiah-Lincoln Community College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Holmes led 36-12 at halftime and the teams tied at 30 in the second half.
Jalen Tatum led the Bulldogs with 16 points while Caleb Campbell and Christian Parks each had 10. Jourdain Dishmond had eight rebounds while Campbell had seven.
The Bulldogs shot 50.9 percent (29-of-57) from the floor and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line
