GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker at home Tuesday night to the Itawamba Community College Indians, 84-76, in overtime.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 13-10 overall and 5-8 in the MACCC. Holmes ends the regular season Thursday night in Meridian at 6 p.m.
Holmes led 33-30 at halftime. Itawamba outscored Holmes 36-33 in the second half to tie the game at 66 at the end of regulation. Itawamba then outscored the Bulldogs, 18-10, in overtime.
Holmes' Jamar Jenkins hit a three from the logo to send the game into overtime with .6 left in regulation.
Jalen Tatum led the Bulldogs with 20 points while Jenkins and Dacory Porter each had 13, Caleb Campbell had 12 and Jourdain Dishmond had 10. Tatum finished with nine rebounds.
