Bulldogs defeat Crusaders JV, 105-61

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the season with an 105-61 win over William Carey University JV here Tuesday.

Holmes is on the road at Hinds at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Holmes led 47-34 at halftime and then outscored William Carey, 58-27, in the second half for the win.

Cameron Wallace led the Bulldogs with 30 points while Jamar Jenkins had 20, Dominic Simpkins had 13 and Caleb Kent had 12. Wallace finished with eight rebounds.

In the Pearl River Tournament over the weekend, the Bulldogs went 1-1. Holmes fell to Gadsden State, 81-78, on Friday and defeated Chattahoochee Valley, 76-69, in overtime Saturday.

Against Gadsden, Wallace had 33 points while Hobert Grayson had 18 and Dacory Porter had 11.

Against Chattahoochee, Wallace had 24 points while Grayson had 13, Porter and Jenkins each had 11 and K.J. Sykes had 10.
