GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 9-2 on the season with an 82-56 win over the SAU Rockets here Saturday afternoon.
Holmes will host the Baton Rouge Bears at 4 p.m. Monday in Goodman.
Holmes led 35-19 at halftime and then outscored the Rockets, 47-37, in the second half for the big win.
Hobert Grayson led the Bulldogs with 25 points while Jalen Tatum and Cameron Wallace each had 14. Grayson finished with 10 rebounds while Tatum had seven and Jamar Jenkins had six.
The Bulldogs shot 59.6 percent from the floor in the game.
