GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs battled with the Meridian Community College Eagles but fell 73-71.
Holmes, now 12-4 and 0-1 in the MACCC, will travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Thursday.
Meridian led 42-33 at halftime. The Bulldogs outscored the Eagles in the second half, 38-31 in the second half but it wasn't enough.
Cameron Wallace led the Bulldogs with 32 points while Dacory Porter had 14 and Jalen Tatum had 10. Wallace and Tatum each had eight rebounds.
