Bulldogs pick up MACCC win over the Rangers, 79-64

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up a 79-64 win here Monday over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers.

Holmes travels to Southwest on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Holmes led 42-38 at halftime and then outscored the Rangers, 37-26, in the second.

Cameron Wallace led the Bulldogs with 26 points while Jamar Jenkins had 17 and Hobert Grayson had 16. Wallace led with 10 rebounds.

Against Itawamba on Saturday, the Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker in double overtime, 86-78, in Fulton. The game was tied at 68 at the end of regulation and at 72 after one overtime. Itawamba outscored Holmes, 14-6, in the second overtime for the win.

Grayson had 21 points to lead while K.J. Sykes had 17, Wallace had 16 and Jalen Tatum had 14. Wallace had 11 rebounds.

Against Gulf Coast Thursday, the Bulldogs fell 97-70. Wallace led with 24 points while Jenkins had 11.
