MERIDIAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs opened MACCC play with a 75-70 win over Meridian here Monday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 13-1 overall. Holmes will host Gulf Coast on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Goodman.
Holmes led 34-27 at halftime and held on for the win.
Cameron Wallace led the Bulldogs with 23 points while K.J. Sykes had 21 and Trey Alexander added 11. Wallace led with nine rebounds.
Against the La. Knights, the Bulldogs won 89-83 in overtime.
Wallace led with 30 points while Alexander had 23, Sykes had 15 and Christian Parks added 10. Parks led with 13 rebounds while Wallace had 12.
