RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up a 7-0 win here Tuesday over William Carey University JV.
Holmes opens conference play on Friday at East Central at 7 p.m.
Carter Burton got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 9th minute to go up 1-0. Louie Richard scored on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute to put Holmes up 2-0. Josiah Arroyo scored his first of two goals on a Hayes Adock assist in the 43rd minute to put the Bulldogs 3-0. Christopher Oviedo scored his first of two goals on another Reedy assist in the 45th minute. Holmes led 4-0 at halftime.
Oviedo picked up his second goal on an Adcock assist in the 54th minute to put Holmes up 5-0. Arroyo's second goal came on an assist from Tyler Smith in the 67th minute to make it 6-0 Holmes. Patrick Vallean scored on an Oviedo assist in the 68th to end all scoring at 7-0.
