RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs battled here Tuesday but fell to the Hinds Eagles, 2-1, in MACCC action.
Holmes returns to action on Friday at 3 p.m. vs. East Mississippi in Ridgeland.
Hinds scored in the 12th and 14th minutes to go up 2-0 before Ethan Hunt scored an unassisted goal in the 16th minute to bring the Bulldogs to within one. Neither team was able to score in the second half.
John Smith played 90 minutes in goal and had eight saves.
