RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up a 3-1 MACCC win here over the East Mississippi Community College Lions on Sophomore Day.
Sophomores honored included: Mateo DeLeon, Klelys Gonzalez, Caleb Jones, Tyler Leach, Gavin Parker, Tyler Smith and Patrick Vallean.
The regular season schedule ends on Tuesday at Jones College at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs took 1-0 lead in the 30th minute off the match. The Bulldogs went up 2-0 in the 33rd on a penalty kick from Christopher Oviedo. Holmes led 2-0 at halftime.
Holmes increased the lead to 3-0 in the 80th minute when Josiah Arroyo scored on an assist from Medina-Ramirez.
