JONESBORO, Ark. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games with Arkansas State University here Tuesday winning 2-1 and falling 10-3.

Holmes travels to Northwest on Saturday at 2/4 p.m. and then hosts Southwest on Monday at 2/4 p.m. in conference games.

In game one, Mary Clayton Burrell picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up one run on five hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks. Teagun Barnes led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits including a double while Hannah Champion and Kailey Chachere each added a double.

In game two, Katie Dana suffered the loss in 3 2/3 innings of work. She gave up six runs on six hits. Brooklyne Eubanks went 2 1/3 innings and gave up four runs on four hits with one strikeout and one walk. Champion led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits including two doubles.
