Lady Bulldogs split with Lady Bears

SUMMIT --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Friday with the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears falling 12-7 and wining 8-3.

With the split, the Lady Bulldogs went to 6-21 overall and 3-5 in the MACJC. Holmes travels to East Mississippi on Wednesday at 4/6 p.m. before returning home on Saturday vs. Meridian at 1/3 p.m.

In game one, Mary Clayton Burrell suffered the loss. She went 2 1/3 innings and gave up seven runs on six hits with one strikeout and one walk. Brooklyne Eubanks went 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on seven hits with one walk.

Hannah Champion led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits.

In game two, Eubanks picked up the win. She went 3 2/3 innings and gave up one run on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Katie Dana also pitched in the game.

Skyler Busbea and Teagun Barnes each had two hits including a double each. Laura Fields and Lexie Bounds each had a double.
