Lady Bulldogs go to 5-1 with a sweep of Jackson State CC

JACKSON, Tenn. --- The Holmes Community College picked up two wins here Friday vs. Jackson State Community College, 7-6 and 11-5.

Holmes will play Southwest Tennessee on Tuesday at 2/4 p.m.

In game one, Annie Sartin went seven innings and gave up six runs on 14 hits with three strikeouts.

Blair Walsh led with four hits including two doubles. Abbie McGee and Meg Glasgow each had two hits while Mollie Swilley added a homerun.

On Thursday vs. Southeast Arkansas, the Lady Bulldogs took two games, 9-8 in 12 innings in game one and 5-2 in game two.

Swilley started game one and went six innings and gave up three runs on five hits with a walk. Charlee Rose Tierce and Sartin pitched in the game with Sartin picking up the win.

McGee led with three hits while Glasgow and Maicee Coleman each had two hits. Swilley and Gracie Williams each had a double.

In game two, Avery Roark started the game and went six innings and gave up one run on eight hits with six strikeouts. Tierce also pitched in the game.

Walsh led with three hits including two homeruns while Glasgow and Campbell Blaine each had two hits. Swilley had a homerun while McGee added a double.

On Tuesday vs. Baton Rouge, the Lady Bulldogs split winning 9-0 and falling 2-0 in game two.

Sartin went six innings and gave up no runs on five hits with two strikeouts.

Walsh had three hits including a homerun while McGee and Lizzy Carpenter each had two hits with McGee adding a double.

In game two, Tierce started the game and went five innings and gave up two runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Swilley pitched in the game.
