GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-1 on the season with a sweep of Southwest Tennessee here Tuesday, 9-1 in five innings and 5-3 in game two.
Holmes will travel to SAU Tech on Friday.
In game one, Annie Sartin got the start and picked up the win. She went five innings and gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts. Gracie Williams led with three hits including a double while Meg Glasgow added two.
In game two, Avery Roark got the start and went four innings and gave up two runs on five hits while Charlee Rose Tierce went three innings and gave up one run on two hits and picked up the win. Campbell Blaine led with two hits while Blair Walsh added a double.
