Lady Bulldogs split a doubleheader in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here on Friday winning 17-5 over Moberly Area and falling 9-0 to Bishop State.

Holmes travels to Southwest Tennessee on Tuesday at 12/2 p.m.

In game one, Charlee Rose Tierce got the start and picked up the win.  She gave up two runs on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk in four innings. Annie Sartin and Chesney Beckham also threw in the game. Abbie McGee and Maicee Coleman each had five hits with McGee adding a double. Brooke Mitchell had four hits while Meg Glasgow had three hits with a double and Lizzy Carpenter and Jadyn Miles each had two hits. Blair Walsh added a double.

In game two, Avery Roark suffered the loss. She went five innings and gave up nine runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
