Lady Bulldogs split with SW Tenn. Saluqis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday with Southwest Tennessee falling 3-2 in game one and winning 14-3 in game two.              

Holmes will participate in the Hinds Tournament at Sports Force Park in Vicksburg on Friday and Saturday. Holmes will play St. Charles and Baton Rouge on Friday at 12/5 p.m. and Metropolitan and Kirkwood on Saturday at 1:30/4 p.m.

In game one, Annie Sartin went six innings and gave up three runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Lizzy Carpenter led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits while Blair Walsh and Abbie McGee each had two hits. Walsh had two doubles while Gracie Williams and Carpenter each added a double.

In game two, Mollie Swilley went four innings and gave up three runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Chesney Beckham also threw in the game. Walsh led with three hits including two homeruns (2-run, 3-run) while Maicee Coleman had two hits including a double. Swilley added a 2-run homerun while Kayla Jennings added a double.
