Holmes splits with Itawamba

GOODMAN – The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday. Holmes took game one, 4-3, and fell 4-0 in game two.

Holmes will play at Meridian on Saturday.

In game one, Annie Sartin got the start and picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Jadyn Miles led with two hits. Abbie McGee had a double.

In game two, Charlee Rose Tierce got the start and suffered the loss. She went five innings and gave up three runs on six hits with one strikeout and three walks. Sartin went the final two innings and gave up one run on two hits with one walk. Brooke Mitchell picked up the only hit of the game.

Against Jones last Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs fell 7-4 and 16-4.

In game one, Sartin suffered the loss. McGee and Maicee Coleman each had two hits. 

In game two, Tierce suffered the loss. McGee led with two hits.
