Holmes falls to Gulf Coast Thursday

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell twice here Thursday to the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs, 16-7 and 8-5.

Holmes will host Northwest on Tuesday at 2/4 p.m.

In game one, Mollie Swilley got the start and suffered the loss. Charlee Rose Tierce also pitched in the game. Swilley led with three hits including a double while Jadyn Miles and Abbie McGee each had two hits with Meg Glasgow and McGee adding a double. Blair Walsh had a solo homerun.

In game two, Annie Sartin got the start and suffered the loss. McGee led with two hits.

Against East Mississippi Tuesday, Holmes fell 13-5 and 10-2.

In game one, Annie Sartin got the start and suffered the loss. Swilley also pitched in the game. Miles, Swilley, Brooke Mitchell and Gracie Williams each had two hits with Williams adding a double.

In game two, Tierce got the start and suffered the loss. Avery Roark also pitched in the game. Walsh added a two-run homerun.
