Holmes splits with Meridian

MERIDIAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games with the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles winning 10-6 and falling 9-3 in game two.

Holmes will travel to Northeast on Wednesday at 2/4 p.m.

Mollie Swilley got the start in game one and picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up six runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Swilley led the Lady Bulldogs with four hits while Jadyn Miles, Maicee Coleman and Gracie Williams each had two with Williams having two doubles. Abbie McGee had a grand slam while Blair Walsh had a double.

In game two, Annie Sartin got the start and suffered the loss. Avery Roark and Charlee Rose Tierce also pitched in the game. McGee and Campbell Blaine each had a double in the game.

Against Co-Lin on Saturday, Holmes fell 12-1 and 9-3.

Swilley took the loss in game one. Swilley had two hits in the game.

In game two, Sartin took the loss. Miles led with three hits in the game including a double. Swilley also doubled.
