Lady Bulldogs split with Lady Eagles

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Friday with Meridian Community College falling 4-3 in game one and winning game two, 8-0, in six innings.

Holmes will travel to Mississippi Delta on Wednesday and East Central on Saturday.

In game one, Josie Azlin got the start and went five innings and gave up three runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Anne Elise Sartin came in the game in the sixth and gave up one run on two hits with one strikeout and two walks and suffered the loss.

Kaitlyn Jones and Mollie Swilley each had two hits with Swilley adding a double.

In game two, Swilley got the start and went six innings. She gave up three hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

Miley Billie led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits including a triple while Emma Fabre had two. Gracie Williams added a two-run homerun.
