Jones, Collier to represent Holmes in the MACJC All-Star Game on April 12

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College sophomore basketball players Jekalen Jones and Janae Collier will represent Holmes in the MACJC All-Star Game at East Central on April 12.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the season at 9-14 and 5-7 in the North Division.

Jones, a sophomore guard/forward from Little Rock, Ark., led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 13.5 points per game. She shot 42.1 percent from the floor (101-of-240), 31.3 percent from the three-point line (15-of-48) and 67.1 percent from the free-throw line (94-of-140). She had 6.1 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists and 2 steals per game.

Collier, a sophomore guard/forward from Pelahatchie, averaged 11.4 points per game. She shot 33.2 percent from the floor (73-of-220), 24 percent from the three-point line (25-of-104) and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line (58-of-77). She had 4 rebounds per game, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
