GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs finished the season sweep of Baton Rouge Community College here Friday with a 68-57 win.
Holmes, now 8-3, heads into the Christmas break and will begin MACCC play on January 5 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Baton Rouge led 14-13 after one period of play. The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Bears, 21-12 in the second period to lead, 34-26, at halftime. Holmes outscored Baton Rouge, 34-31, in the second half to secure the win.
Ally Alford led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points while Darranya Wright had 17. Wright led in rebounds with 10.
