GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 1-1 in MACCC play with a 67-61 win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers here Monday night.
Holmes, now 9-4, will travel to Southwest on Thursday night at 6 p.m.
Holmes led 9-8 after one period before Northwest took a 24-23 lead into halftime. Holmes outscored Northwest 44-37 in the second half to pull out the win.
Amaijah Smith led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points while Danielle Luckey had 12. Lanie Potter had nine while McKinna Smith and Darranya Wright each had eight. Luckey led with 12 rebounds while Ally Alford and Potter followed with nine.
