DECATUR --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker here Monday night falling to the East Central Community College Lady Warriors, 71-70.
Holmes hosts Hinds at 6 p.m. Thursday.
East Central led 22-18 after one period and 37-30 at halftime. Holmes outscored East Central, 40-34, in the second half but it wasn't enough to pull out the win.
McKinna Smith led with the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points while Danielle Luckey had 16 and Amaijah Smith had 11. Lanie Potter led with 12 rebounds.
