UTICA --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the season with an 80-70 win here Thursday over the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs.
Holmes plays at Northwest on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Holmes led 43-31 at halftime, but Hinds outscored Holmes 39-37, in the second half, but it wasn't enough as Holmes picked up the win.
Freshman Bella Roberts finished with 32 points in the game including five three-pointers and 15-of-15 from the free throw line. Savannah Hailey had 15, Deundria Stovall had 11 and Darranya Wright had 10. Kelsey Federick had 20 rebounds in the game.
