Holmes, now 3-2, will play South Arkansas at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Goodman.
Northwest outscored Holmes, 42-31, in the second half.
Darranya Wright led the Lady Bulldogs with 20 points. Z'ia Shields followed with 13 while Bella Roberts and Savannah Hailey each had 11.
